before whom the said Cause of Appeal came to be<lb></lb>
heard on Monday the 22d Day of June last when after long and so-<lb></lb>
lomns Arguments of Counsel on both sides the said Dean of the Arches<lb></lb>
having fully considered the said Charter and the Allegation pleading<lb></lb>
the Exemptions granted thereby and claimed against the Swearing<lb></lb>
in of the said Church Wardens and considering Church Wardens as Parochial Officers whom<lb></lb>
Parishoners Have a Right by Law to Elect and observing<lb></lb>
that No Part of the Exemptions from Ecclesiastical Jurisdictions<lb></lb>
hereby granted to the Church Did extend to the Office of Church<lb></lb>
Warden the same not being mentioned therein He therefore<lb></lb>
rejected the Allegation and affirmed the Decree appeal'd from &<lb></lb>
condemn'd the said Syndick in Ten pounds Cost And as We<lb></lb>
apprehend and are advised that the Distinction made by the said<lb></lb>
Sr. George Lee between the Exemption granted by the said Charter<lb></lb>
to the Church and Minister and the Exemptions Claimed<lb></lb>
with Regard to the Office of Church Warden is just & founded<lb></lb>
in Law. We therefore Conceive that it is most advisable for this<lb></lb>
Corporation to acquiesee under this Determination relating to the<lb></lb>
Church WardensBut we are advised and clearly of<lb></lb>
Opinion that as the said Church & the Minister thereof are<lb></lb>
exempted from any Ecclesiastical Visitation or Jurisdiction whatsoever<lb></lb>
by the express Words of the Charter. This Corporation ought to<lb></lb>
Oppose any Attempt which may be made at any future Time<lb></lb>
to Subject the said Church or Minister to any Ecclesiastical<lb></lb>
Jurisdiction or Visitation And to maintain to the utmost of<lb></lb>
their Power the several Rights Priviledges & Exemptions<lb></lb>
granted to this Corporation by their Royal Founder and<lb></lb>
which they have hitherto quietly & uninterruptedly enjoyed</p>
