The King on the Prosecution of

Thomas Bedford< no role >
against
William Harrison< no role > }
for an Assault

William Harrison< no role > of Sonning in the County of
Berks Gentleman the defendant above named Maketh
Oath and Saith that he never did know whose Thomas
Bedford
< no role > the prosecutor above named lived or resided
And that he did on the first day of January Instant go to
several persons friends and acqaintances of the said Thomas
Bedford
< no role > and enquired of them for the place of abode of
the said Thomas Bedford< no role > in order to serve him with
notice that this deponent would by his Traverse in
this matter at this present Sessions, but they severally
informed this deponent that they did not know
where he lived or resided but this deponent got
directions from several of such persons to [..]
public houses to which they informed him (this deponent)
that the said Thomas Bedford< no role > frequently resorted and
where it was probable he might be seen or heard of And
this deponent saith that he did go according to the said
directions to all of the said houses and there inquired
for the said Thomas Bedford< no role > And where he could be Joined
but he could not get to see him or gain any information where
he lodged or usually resided And this deponent saith that
he hath used every endeavour and taken much trouble
to find out the said Thomas Bedford< no role > but that he was
unable to see him untill the evening of tuesday the
Ninth day of January Instant and hath not yet been
able to find out his place of abode
