To Constable
of Saint James Westminster within the Hundred
of Ossulton , in the said County.

WHEREAS the Sheriff of the County of Middlesex hath pro-
duced and shown to us, William Mainwaring< no role > , Esquire ,
and Samuel Glasse, Doctor in Divinity, two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the said County; one whereof being
of the Quorum, residing within the said Hundred of Ossulston, in
the said County, a certain Writ of Execution, issuing out of the
Court of Common Pleas , at Westminster , at the suit of James Slade< no role > ,
tested the Thirteenth day of February, One Thousand Seven Hun-
dred and Ninety Seven, whereby the said Sheriff is commanded
to take John Pool< no role > and Henry M'Laughlin< no role > ; two of the Inhabitants
of the Hundred of Ossulston; if they shall be found in his Baili-
wick, and them safely keep, to satisfy James Slade< no role > , for One
Hundred and Ten Pounds, Ten Shillings, which in the said
Court were awarded to the said James Slade< no role > , for his Damages,
which he sustained by reason of a certain Trespass and Riot, com-
mitted within the said Hundred of Ossulston, whereof the said
John and Henry were convicted. And whereas due proof upon
Oath hath been made to us, that the just and necessary Expences
which the Inhabitants of the said Hundred have been at in defend-
ing such Action have been taxed by the proper Officer of the said
Court at, and amount to the Sum of Eleven Pounds, Seventeen
Shillings and Ten-pence.

We the said William Mainwaring< no role > , and Samuel Glasse< no role > , Justices
as aforesaid, according to the Directions of the several Statutes in
such case made and provided, have assessed and taxed rateably,
and proportionably; all and every the Towns Parishes, Villages,
Hamlet and Places, as well of the said Hundred, as the Liberties
within the said Hundred, to and towards an equal Contribution
to be had and made for the Relief of the Inhabitants of the said
Hundred, against whom the said Execution has been obtained, and
for Payment thereof, had also for Payment of the said just and
necessary Expences which the said [..] of the said Hundred
have been at the defending the said [..] and do hereby [..]
and [..] the said Parish of Saint James Westminster [..]
