There being at this time several large Demands
upon the County Treasurer
and Mr Burchell
hehaving complained that the
several High Constables have neglected to pay to him any Part of the
County Rate made in May Session last I am directed to
desire that you will immediately pay into his Hands all
such same of Money as you shall have receive from the
respective popular & places in your Division and that you
will return an account to me on or before Friday next of
the Sums you have so received and paid and of the several parishes &
places to return you have made applications forth Rate last
who have neglected to pay the same
[..] in order that immediate steps may
be taken to compel the payment thereof
