in unlawfully taking accepting and receiving of and from
one John Carroll< no role > for and on the behalf of one John Copeland< no role >
the Sum of £13..13..0 and thereby making composition
with the said John Copeland< no role > for certain Offences committed
by him against an Act of Parliament of the 22d. Year of
his present Majestys Reign entitled" An Act for licensing
"Lottery Office keepers and regulating the sale of Lottery
"Tickets". and causing and procuring one John Holland< no role >
to desist and abstain from Prosecuting the said John
Copeland< no role > for the recovery of divers Pecuniary Penalties
to the amount of £500: forfeited by him for several
Offences agt. the sd. Stat: without the Order or
Consent of any of His Majestys Courts at Westminster or
without any lawful Authority whatsoever: Cont: to the
Statute on the 12th. day of September 1792.
