and that the Governors Present House or a Part of it may with
Propriety be allotted for that Purpose

The Committee also took into their Consideration the Suggestion
of consolidating the Two Prisons into One and directed inquires
to be made concerning the Number of Prisoners confined in the said
Prisons for Three Years last past and appointed a Sub Committee
consisting of The Visiting Justices together with Henry Holland< no role >
Thomas Collins< no role > Jacob Leroux< no role > and Edward Gray< no role > Esquires to
inquire into and examin the State of the Property of the Old Bridewell
and Quarters Ground and the Buildings thereon and to report to the
Committee the Result of their Inquiry and by what means the
same could be rendered most Productive to the County together with such
Observations as might Occur to them on the Subject as soon as the
conveniently could and that such sub committee call to their Assistance
Mr. Rogers the County Surveyor is they think Proper

The Committee also recommend to the Court that all Articles
purchased for the New Bridewell such as Coals Candles Bread Ment
wine Etc be furnished on Contract at the Cowest wholesale prices and
than an Entry be made of all Bills and Expences whatsoever in the
Books of the Prison before they are certified by the Governor for Payment
