To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St. Mary, Whitechapel , in the County of
Middlesex , to convey; and to the Church-Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint George in the
Borough of Southwark in the County of Surry

to receive and obey

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us,
whose Hands and Seals are hererunto set, being Two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the County
of Middlesex , (one whereof being of the Quorum,) by the
Church-Wardens or Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Mary, Whitechapel , in the said County, That Mary
Bambridge
< no role > the Wife of William Bainbridge< no role > a Mariner
belonging to his Majesty's Ship the Sampson now at Sea
and their two Children Vizt William< no role > aged about five
Years and John< no role > aged about two years have
lately came to inhabit in the said Parish of St. Mary,
Whitechapel , not having gained any legal Settement there,
nor produced any Certificate acknowledging them to be
settled elsewhere,and are likely to become chargeable
to the said Parish: We, the said Justices, upon Examina-
tion of the Premises upon Oath, and other Circumstances,
do adjudge the same to be true, and do also adjudge the
place of the last legal Settlement of the said Mary Bambridge< no role >
and their said two Children William and John
to be in the Parish of Saint George in the Borough of Southwark
in the County of Surry aforesaid

THESE are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, and by
Virtue of the Statutes in that Behalf, to require you
on Sight hereof, to remove and convey the said Mary
Bambridge
< no role > and their said two Children William< no role > and
John
from and out of your said Parish of St. Mary, Whitechapel ,
to the said Parish of St. George
and them deliver to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of
the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with
this out Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are hereby re-
quired to receive and provide for them
according to Law.
Given under our Hands and Seals this twenty eighth
Day of June in the Year of our Lord One
Thousand Seven Hundred and ninety four
