The humble Petition and appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish
of
Saint George Hanover Square
in the County of Middlesex
Sheweth
That by virtue of a Pass Warrant or order under the hands
and Seals of G Mercer and J Mercer Esquires
two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace
acting in and for the County of Middlesex
(one
whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the Eighth day of May
1794

her) and their two Children namely

aged 22 months
and
Mary< no role >
aged 5 Months were removed and conveyed from
and out of the
Parish of Saint Marylebone
in the said County
of Middlesex
to the said Parish of Saint George Hanover Square
as the place of their last legal settlement whereby your
Petitioners conceive themselves to be aggrieved
Your Petitioners therefore humbly appeal to
this Court against the adjudication of the said two
Justices and their said order and pray that your
worships will be pleased to appoint a day to hear
and determine the said appeal
And your Petitioners shall ever pray Etc
