To the Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor of that
Part of the Parish of St. Andrew, Holborn, which lies
above the Bars , in the County of Middlesex : And to the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Saint Dunstan in the West in the City of London

WHEREAS Complaint has been made to Us, Two of
his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the County
of Middlesex (whereof one is of the Quorum) by the Church
Warden and Overseers of the Poor of that Part of the Parish of
Saint Andrew, Holborn, which lies above the Bars , in the said County,
That
Sarah Lewis< no role > Wife of John Lewis< no role > (gone abroad) and
John< no role > their Child aged about Eighteen Months Have
lately come into the said Part of the said Parish of Saint Andrew,
Holborn, endeavouring to settle there contrary to Law: And it ap-
peareth unto Us the said Justices, and we do adjudge, That they an
likely to become chargeable thereto; and upon Examination of
the said Sarah Lewis< no role > taken upon Oath, it
farther appeareth unto Us, and we do likewise adjudge, That
the parish of Saint Dunstan in the West aforesaid in the
said City of London
is the Place of the last Settlement of the said
John Lewis< no role > Sarah his Wife and their and
Child John

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to charge and command
the Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor of the said Part of the
said Parish of Saint Andrew, Holborn, forthwith to remove and
convey the said
Sarah Lewis and her said Child John
from and out of the said Part of the said Parish, to the said Parish
of Saint Dunstan in the West in the City of London
and deliver them to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor there, or to some or one of them, who are hereby required to
provide for them according to Law: Given under our Hands
and Seals the 31st Day of May
One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Four
