MIDDLESEX


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session House for the said County, (by adjournment)
on Thursday the Twenty seventh Day of June in
the Thirty third Year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc. Before
William Mainwaring< no role > , William Bleamire< no role > , Thomas Gordon< no role >
Charles Sheppard< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County.

Whereas James Dalbiac< no role > This name instance is in set 24002401. Did at the last General Quarter Session of the Peace
held in and for this County Exhibit his Petition and appeal setting forth That he was on or
about the 13th. day of February last Convicted before Nathaniel Conant< no role > Esquire one of His
Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex For purchasing a certain pair of
Coloured Leather Gloves Subject to the Stamp duties imposed by the Statute in such case
made and provided without the Stamp Ticket directed by the said Status to be affixed to the
same being so affixed as by the said Statute is directed contrary to the Statute Etc and that 14
was declared and adjudged to have forfeited for his said Offence the Sum of Ten Pounds whereby
the Petitioner conceived himself aggrieved which said Appeal stood duly adjourned until this day Now the said Appeal coming on to be heard
and the said Nathaniel Conant< no role > Esqr being solemnly called to come forth and support the said
Conviction but not appearing nor any Person on his behalf and Proof being made upon Oath that
true Copies of the Order of Court for the hearing and determining the said Appeal this day had
been personally served upon the said Nathaniel Conant< no role > and Lewis Davis< no role > the Prosecutor
respectively: It is Ordered that the said Conviction be and the same is hereby
Quashed
