To the Constable, Headborough , Mary Magdalen
Bermondsey in the County of Surrey
or either of them, to receive and obey.

WHEREAS it hath been duly made appear to me Price Davies< no role > Esq
one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County, upon Oath,
that James Tuffnell< no role >
who was [..] apprehended by Joseph Bear< no role > within the
Parish of Botolph without Aldgate as a Rogue and Vagabond has committed
an Act of Vagrancy within the the true Intent and Meaning of the Statutes in that Case
made and provided, and I have therefore duly convicted him therefore, and have
actually caused him to be confined in the House of Correction at Clerkenwell
for Seven Days last past, which I do hereby certify, and whereas
by the Examination of the said Vagrant hereunto annexed, it doth appear that the
lawful Settlement of the said James Tuffnell< no role >
is in the Parish of Saint Mary [..] Magdalen Bermondsey in the County of
Surrey

There are therefore to require you the said Constable or other Officer to convey
the said Vagrant above-named to the Parish of St. Botolph Aldgate in the City of London that
being the first Parish in the next Precinct, through which he- ought to pass in
the direct Way to the said Parish- of St. Mary Magdalen Bermondsey [..] to which
the said Vagabond is to the sent, and deliver him to the Constable or other
Officer of such Parish, in such next Precinct, together with this Pass, and the Dupli-
cate of the of the Examination of the said James Tuffnell< no role >
taking his Receipt for the same. And the said Vagrant above-named is to be
thence carried on, in like Manner, to the said Parish of Saint Mary Magdalen
[..] there to be delivered to some Church-Warden, Chapel-
Wardens, or Overseer of the Poor of the same, to be there provided for according to
Law. And you the said Church-Warden , Chapel-Warden, or Overseers of the
Poor, are hereby required to receive the said Person and provide for him as afore-
said.
