peace for the said County assembled

Sheweth
That by Virtue of a Rate or Assessment made for the
relief of the poor of the Hamlet of Hammersmith
in the said
County of Middlesex
and for other purposes mentioned in the
several Acts of Parliament relating to the poor on or about the
20th day of September last and allowed by Two of his Majestys
Justices of the peace for the said County and afterwards duly publish
Your petitioner was and is charged in and by such Rate or Assessments
with a large and excessive Sum of Money for the Purposes
aforesaid and much more than according to the real Value of
his capable property within the said Hamlet he should be charged
That your Petitioner Objects to the said Rate or
Assessment not only for the reason aforesaid but upon the grounds
of the same being partial unfair unequal and unjust for
that the Reverend Millwood the Curate
of the said Hamlet of
Hammersmith
who keeps a School
in the said Hamlet and
occupies a House that used to be rated at Seventy pounds a year
is left out and Omitted in the said Rate or Assessment
