MIDDLESEX .


At the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session-House for the said
County, () on Monday
the ninth Day of January
in the Thirty second Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of Great
Britain, Etc. Before William Mainwaring< no role > , William
Bleamire
< no role > , Nathaniel Conant< no role > , David Walker< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid, and also to bear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the same County

WHEREAS the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Matthew Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex Did at the last General Session
of the Peace held in and for this County Exhibit their Petition and appeal setting forth
that by virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under the Hands and Seals of The
Reverend Sir George Booth< no role > Baronet and Rupert Clarke< no role > Esquire two of His Majestys
Justices of the Peace acting in and for the said County of Middlesex (one being of the
quorum) bearing date the first day of December last Lydia Bates< no role > was removed and
conveyed from an out of the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell in the County of
Middlesex aforesaid to the said Parish of Saint Matthew Bethnal Green as the
place of her last legal settlement whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves
aggrieved which said appeal stood duly adjourned until this Session
NOW, upon hearing the said Appeal, in the presence and hearing of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell
and they consenting by their Counsel to the allowing the said Appeal, IT IS ORDERED,
that the said Appeal be, and the same is hereby allowed, and the said Order of the said two Jus-
tices is hereby vacated and set aside; and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Church-
wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Matthew Bethnal Green
do forth with convey and deliver back the said Lydia Bates
(together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell who are hereby required to
receive and provide for the said Lydia Bates
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law.
