To the Justices of our Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in and for
the County of Middlesex in General Quarter Session of the Peace holden
in and for the said County Assembled

Whereas at the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord
the King holden for the County of Middlesex at the Session House Clerkenwell
Green in the same County on Monday the eighteenth day of July in the thirty first
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third King of Great Britain
Etc. John Malkin< no role > of the Parish of Hampstead in the County of Middlesex
Yeoman was Indicted for keeping five Hogs at Hampstead aforesaid and
for feeding them with Offals and other Filsh by Reason whereof unwholesome
Smells did arise And also for laying two Cart Loads of Dung in a certain
back Yard there, by Reason whereof the said Yard was Obstructed. To which Indictment
the said John Malkin< no role > at the General Session of the Peace holden in and for the said
County of Middlesex on Monday the twelfth Day of September last appeared and
pleaded Not Guilty And Whereas the said Indictment was about to be heard
at the said last mentioned Session but the said John Malkin< no role > appearing at the Bar
and alledging that the Nuisances complained of in the said Indictment were removed,
the Justices at that Session referred it to me to View the same and make my Report
thereon to the Justices at the next General Quarter Session of the Peace to be holden
for the said County of Middlesex , And in Pursuance of such Referrence I have taken
a View of the Peace where the Nuisances were alledged to exist And do hereby
Certify to his Majesty's said Justices that the Nuisances complained of, in the said
Indictment (if any existed) are now totally removedDated the 22d. Day of October
1791

William Masters< no role > of Clements Inn in the County of Middlesex Gentleman
maketh Oath That he was present and saw Edward Montagu< no role > of Hampstead in the said
County of Middlesex Esquire sign and subscribe the above Certificated And that the name
or Character "Edw: Montagu< no role > "thereto subscribed is of the proper Hand Writing of
the said Edward Montagu
