To the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St. James, at Clerkenwell , in the County of
Middlesex ; and to the Church-wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of Saint Matthew Bethnal Green
and to each and ever of them.

UPON the Complaint of the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of St. James, Clerkenwell , aforesaid, in the said County of
Middlesex , unto us whose Names are hereunto set, and Seals affixed , being two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex ,
and one of us of the Quorum, that
Charlotte [..] Jones< no role > Singlewoman
is come to inhabit in the said Parish of
St. James, in Clerkenwell , not having gained a legal Settlement there, and that
the said Charlotte Jones< no role >
is now chargeable to the said Parish of St. James, in Clerkenwell . We the said
Justices, upon due Proof made thereof upon Oath, as otherwise, and likewise
upon due Consideration had of the Premises, do adjudge the same to be true;
and we do likewise adjudge, that the lawful Settlement of the said Charlotte
Serves is in the said
Parish of St. Matthew Bethenal Green in the saidCounty of [..]
[..] Middlese. We do therefore require you, the said Church-
wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. James, at Clerken
well , or some or one of you, to convey the said Charlotte Jones< no role >
from and out of your said Parish of St. James, at Clerkenwell , to the said Parish
of St. Matthew Bethnal Green and Her to deliver to
the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some or one of them,
together with this our Order, or a true Copy thereof, at the same Time shewing
to them the Original; and we do also hereby require you, the said Church-
wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St Matthew Bethnal Grd [..]
to receive and provide for Her according to Law. Give under
our Hands and Seals, the 19th Day of January in the
Year of our Lord, 178 6.
