To the Right Worshipful his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and
for the County of Middlesex in the General Quarter session Assembled

The Humble Petition and appeal of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Mary Lambeth in the
County of Surrey

Sheweth


That by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the hands and
Seals of D: Wilmot and Chas: Triguet< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the County of Middlesex (one where of both
of the Quorum) bearing date the 28th day of July 1785 Mary Nichols< no role > Wife
of George Nichols< no role > (who hath deserted her) and her two Children lawful
House Namely George< no role > aged two years and upwards and Joseph< no role > aged
five Months were removed from the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch
in the County of Middlesex unto the Parish of Saint Mary at Lambeth
in the said County of Surrey alledging the said Parish of Saint Mary
at Lambeth to be the Place of their last legal Settlement

That your Petitioners conceive themselves aggrieved
by the said Warrant or Order of the said Two Justices
do there fore Appeal to your Worships there from and
humbly Pray that you will be pleased to hear them in
the Promises And Order that the Church wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint
Leonard Shore ditch Middlesex may appear before you
at a certain day to be appointed to hear anddetermine
abide the Judgement and determination of your Worship
touching the Appeal

And Your Petitioners shall ever Pray Etc
