A Preamble of Sundry Works intended to be performed for his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex in the following
Alterations and Additions to the Session House for the said County

The Court


To be alter'd agreeable to the Plan The Wickets framed and Doors hung as the End do with the same
Fastnings The Circular Recess in Table fill'd upo with Wainscot The Attorneys Seats & Back framing the
same as the Councils no doors & level with the Floor) The Jury Box alter'd with framing Seats Etc Similar
to the present but raised an account of the lower Seat taken away another Step at the Entrance and Course
Flap hung to turn upThe Circular Enclosure framed like the front of Jury Box 4 ft. 3 in high and the
Compennd with 3 doors at the Entrance the same height the Doors hung on Bising hinges to Jone them
to with strong Brass Lakhes to each all the parts in the plan thought desorbed Circular to be angular)
2 Bench's Round the same within the Court for the Officers 13 Inches wide whole deal on Cut Bracket in
Supporter The Clerks and Cryers Compounds Framed as the Jury Box with the same int of Doors Steps hinges
at fastring with Wainset Desks as desiribed 18 Inches wide The Bar for the Witnesses to be Raised
so as to be 18 Inches high with an additional Step The Governors Seat and Desk alterd and removed
the framing the same as be for describedThe Two Barrs for Prisoners Enclosed with framing like the Jury
Box the Center part 3 fit in hugh above the Steps the lower part the same height above the Floor with
Steps Door himges and fastings as before described also the Benches agreeable to Plan The Door in the
Glass Partition alter'd to turn ountrarts & hook'd back

The large Ventilator intended to be Exactly like that at the Old Bailey to be fixed
over the Prisoners

To be alter'd by fixing a Quarter Pertion acrass the same with a Door way therein the finishing
on each side the same as the present Room, the Door and Dressings Etc Similar to the others also to that to be
cut through to the Lobby with seven Inch Iron Rem'd Locks & Brass Latech handles & strong Butt hinges Strong
Benches & Bracket supporters fix'd round the two Window'd Room.

To have a framed naked Floor. Joist of Firr 8 By 2½ with framed Quarter Partitions and to door ways
4 by 3 The Floor laid with Boards taken up from the present Pantry and such additions as are necessary
The Walls lined with Waincoting from the same & additions if necessaryA Circular Frame and Inch &
half Oak circular Sash glazed & frst next Hall. hung Certers Brickwork cutout a Segment Arch
agreable to the Plan to be cut through the Hall The same circular Window taken out & Cu Awan & left often
the said Widow fext opposite to give light from Clerks StairsThe present Door Etc from Stairs Fixt
in Passage leading to Clerks Stairs and made Complete The several Jambs to the Openings & Windows
to be framed with Square work with large Beads on the Edges The Plarstering and under the Lobby to be
common set and Wheted and the Walls Etc floated Stuco ever the Harirs a Coved and plaisterd The remain
ing parts made good with Plinth and Joras Skirling

The Several Walls Partitions finishing Paving Etc taken down and made use of as far asthey will
go-part of the Floor framed of Firr Timer the same scantling as the adjoining also Ground first gland
4 by 4 and Oak PlatesThe Door ways and Arch ways Made compleat agreable to the Plan The Floor laid
with Yellow whole deal Boards Strat Joint Edge Naild and Headings plow'd and tongardThe Chimney &
Tummer Built of stock Bricks on Stone Cawbles with an Iron Barr,The funnell conveyd up (together with
the one from below over the Pediment of a height as may be directed and Coped with Porhand stoneThe Walls
lined with whole deal Dovatail do Luke & Plain Molted Rose and Impost, the Floated Stacs as well
as the Arches neat HallA Floated 7 [..] ½ Dorie Modeylion Cornice Round the Room.

The Door & Window finished or left is as at present with sume MaterialsAtrined Most
Mantle & Jambs beaded 4 feet by 3 feet £6. Rab 2 feet wide with Fire stone hearth & Covenss with Wood
Cornice Friege and Pillasters Plain
