That by a certain Order and Conviction under
the Hands and Seals of
Robert Smith< no role >
and
Samuel
Hawley< no role >
Esquires
, two of his Majesty's Justices of the
peace
, in and for the said County of Middlesex
, bearing
date the fourth day of December in the twenty fifth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the third
and in the year One thousand seven hundred and Eighty
four, your Petitionerer's convicted, of Knowingly suffering
Journeymen Labourers Servants or Apprentices, to Game
with Cards in his House And your Petitioner is by
the aforesaid Order or Conviction of the said Justices,
adjudged to have thereby forfeited the Sum of Forty
Shillings.
Your Petitioner conceiving himself
aggrieved by the said order and
Conviction of the said Justices, humbly
appeals against the same and prays
that the same may be quashed, and
that your Worships will give your
Petitioner such other Relief in the
Premises as your Worships shall
think fit
And your Petitioner shall
ever pray etc.
