These are to Certify That At the General Session of Oyer and Terminer of our Lord the King holden in
and for the County of Middlesex at the Session House for the said County on Monday the ninth day of
September Instant James Cowperthwaite< no role > late of the parish of St Clement Danes Labourer was and Stands Indicted
for feloniously and falseley making forging and Counterfeiting and causing and procuring to be falsely made forged and
willingly Acting and assistg, in the falsely making forging and Counterfeiting a certain paper writing purporting to be an
inland Bill of Exchange and to have been drawn by one William Cooke< no role > anddirected to James Scott< no role > by the name
and description of Mr James Scott< no role > Cheesemonger No 5 Widegate Street Bishopgate Sheet London requiring him to pay
Mr Thomas Freeman< no role > or Order nine pounds twelve Shillings and six pence two months after the date of the
same Bill for Value received as advised by him the said William Cooke< no role > which said (also forged and counterfeited
paper Writing purporting to be an inland Bill of Exchange is as followeth (that is to say)
