Resolved that Mr Rogers do<lb></lb>
forwith form a Plan of Room for the said purposes; and do point<lb></lb>
out to this Committee the most convenient place at the Prisons on<lb></lb>
which the same may be Erected and do also prepare an Exact<lb></lb>
Estimate of the Expence of erecting and fitting up the same</p>

of a Report of the said Committee made and Confirmed at the<lb></lb>
Session of the peace holden in and for this County in the month<lb></lb>
of January 1775 the act of Parliament of the fourteenth year of the<lb></lb>
reign of his present Majesty entitled An Act for preserving the<lb></lb>
health of Prisoners in Goal and preventing the Goal Distemper"<lb></lb>
was Ordered to be painted in large and legible Characters upon a<lb></lb>
Board and hung up in some conspicuous parts of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50749_geo50">New Prison</rs>

of the said act Resolved that the said act of Parliament be<lb></lb>

attending being examined stated that he had in Custody<lb></lb>
23 Male Convicts and 32 Female Convicts almost all of whom<lb></lb>
are in execution of Sentences passed upon them at the Session of<lb></lb>

That 62 have been committed to his<lb></lb>
Custody since the last Session That he has also in Custody Two<lb></lb>
Disorderly Apprentices Three Prisoners upon Orders and Twelve<lb></lb>
Persons for debt. That his Prison will contain with tolerable<lb></lb>
convenience about 150, That his Prison is very healthy and<lb></lb>
that he has a Bathing Tub in the Prison but it is rarely even used</p>
<p n="48">Resolved it is the Opinion of this Committee<lb></lb>
that it would greatly tend to the preservation of good order and</p>
