Took into further Consideration the order of reference to
this Committee adjourned at the last Meeting

It appearing unto this Committee that in consequence
of a Report from the said Committee made and confirned at the
General Session of the Peace holden in and for this County in the month
of May last several necessary alterations and additions were ordered to be
made and done at New Prison with a view to render the goal more
secure commodious and healthy; which alterations and additions
or any part thereof have not yet been carried into Execution Resolved
that the said intended alterations and additions at New Prison be
forthwith carried into Execution

And it also appearing to the Committee by the
Orders of Session that no Alteration or Repair of any of the Buildings
belonging to his Majestys Justices of the peace in trust for the benefit
of the Inhabitants of this County ought to be made (except to an
amount not exceeding Twenty Shillings) unless under an exact
Estimate of the Expence there of and an undertaking to perform the
same according to such Estimate Resolved that W Rogers
do forthwith form and Exact Estimate of the Expence of making the
said Alterations and additions and do also prepare a description
