To the Church Warden and Overseers of the Poor of the
Hamlet of Ratcliffe , in the Parish of St. Dunstan, Stepney ,
in the County of Middlesex , and to the Church Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Paul
Shadwell in the Same County

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made by you the
Church Warden and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Hamlet of Ratcliffe , unto us, whose Hands and Seals are hereunto
set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in and for the
said County of Middlesex , (and one of us of the Quorum) that
Catherine Bowerman< no role > has
lately intruded into your said Hamlet of Ratcliffe , there to inhabit
as Parishioner contrary to the Laws relating to the Settlement
of the Poor, and there likely to become chargeable, if not timely
prevented: And WHEREAS, upon due Examination and Enquiry
made into the Premises, as well as upon Oath of
the said Catherine Bowerman< no role >
it appears unto Us, and we accordingly adjudge, that the said
Catherine Bowerman< no role > is
like to become chargeable unto the said Hamlet of Ratcliffe , and
that the last legal Place of Settlement of the said
Catherine Bowerman< no role >
is in the said Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell in the
County of Middlesex

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require
you the said Church Warden and Overseers of the Poor of the
Hamlet of Ratcliffe , aforesaid, that you or some of you, doth
forthwith remove and convey the said Catherine Bowerman< no role >

from your said Hamlet of Ratcliffe , to
the said Parish of Saint Paul Shadewell
and her deliver to the Church Warden and
Overseers of the Poor there, or some or one of them, together
with this our Warrant or Order, or a true Copy hereof; whereby
they are likewise required, in his Majesty's Name, and by Virtue
of the Statutes is such Case made, forthwith to receive the said
Catherine Bowerman< no role >
into their said Parish
and provide for her as their own Parishioner
Given under our Hands and Seals the Twenty eighth Day of
November in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven
Hundred and Eighty One
