By the Mayor</p>
<p n="11">These are to require you to cause a Wardmote to be Summoned<lb></lb>
and held in some convenient place within your said Ward, on such day<lb></lb>
and Hour as to you shall seem meet; and that you cause the several<lb></lb>
Constables within your said Ward to be then and there present; and<lb></lb>
that you also cause the Order of Session, hereunto annexed, to be openly<lb></lb>
and publickly read at the said Wardmote, and to be delivered to the<lb></lb>
proper Constable or Constables of your said Ward, for his or their due<lb></lb>
and immediate Execution of the said Order: And these are further<lb></lb>
to require you to cause such assistance to be given to the said Order<lb></lb>
shall be intrusted, in taxing and assessing the Inhabitants and<lb></lb>
Dwellers within your said Ward; and levying and Collecting the<lb></lb>
Monies by virtue of the said Order to be Collected within your said<lb></lb>
Ward as to you and the Inhabitants of your said Ward in your<lb></lb>
said <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50746_geo4">Wardmote</rs>

assembled shall seem most effectual for the speedy<lb></lb>
levying and Collecting such Monies and securing the same<lb></lb>
until the same shall be paid into the Chamber of London pursuant<lb></lb>
to the said annexed Order so that the same shall be levied-<lb></lb>
Collected and paid in within the times respectively fixed for those<lb></lb>
purposes by the same Dated the Seventh day November 1781.</p>
<p n="12">Rix</p>
<p n="13">N.B By That 27 Eliz. cap 13. & 5 It is Enacted That if any an<lb></lb>
"Inhabitant of any Parish shall obstinately refuse and deny to<lb></lb>
"pay the said Taxation and assessment so by the Constables or<lb></lb>
"Constable taxed and assessed that then it shall and may be<lb></lb>
"lawful to and for the said Constables, within their limits and<lb></lb>
"Jurisdictions, to distrain all and every Person and persons<lb></lb>
"so refusing and denying by his and their Goods and Chattels;<lb></lb>
"and the same distress to sell and the Money thereof coming to<lb></lb>
"retain to the use aforesaid, and if the Goods of Chattels so distrained<lb></lb>
"and sold shall be of more value than the said Taxation shall<lb></lb>
"come unto that then the residue of the said Money over and above<lb></lb>
"the said Taxation shall be delivered unto the said Person or<lb></lb>
"Persons so distrained"</p>
