The Humble Petition of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint George Hanover
Square in the said County.

Sheweth

That Samuel Clarke< no role > of Five Fields Row in the said
Parish Bricklayer and Plaisterer and Editha< no role > his Wife , and
Five Children, Namely Lucy< no role > Aged 12 Years Clara< no role > 10 Years,
Editha< no role > 8 Years, Harriott< no role > 4 Years, and Charles< no role > 3 Years, are become
Chargeable to the said Parish.

That the said Samuel Clarke< no role > and his said Wife and Children,
have not any Provision wherewith to Maintain them other then
from the Labour and Employ of the said Samuel Clarke< no role > [..]
Mat the said Samuel Clarke< no role > neglects to provide for his Family
whereby they are become destitute of support.

That the said Editha his Wife has applied to Your Petitioners
for Relief and has been relieved by them.

Your Petitioners therefore most humbly pray
this Court that the said Samuel Clarke< no role > may be
compelled to Maintain his Family or that such
other Order may be made in the Premises as to this
Court shall seem meet.
