Parish of Saint Mary le Bone in the County of Middlesex and to the Church Wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Stanmore in the said County and to each
and every of them

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace Acting in and for the County of
Middlesex (one where of being of the Quroum) by the Church Wardens and Oveseers of the Poor of the Said Parish St Mary
le Bone That William Hawkins< no role > Eliz< no role > [..] his Wife and their three Children Namely Mary< no role > Aged Fifteen Years Sarah< no role >
Aged Thirteen Years and William< no role > Aged Yeare have lately Intruded and came into the Said Parish of St Mary le Bone and are
likely to becomes Chargeable to the same to the said Justices upon Examination of the Premises upon Oath and other
Circumstances do Adjudge the same to [..] the and do also Adjudge the Place of the last Settlement of the said William
Hawkins
< no role > Elizabethhis said Wife and their Children to be in the Parish of Stanmore in the County of Middlesex

These are therefore in his Majestys fine to require you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the [..]
Parish of St Mary le Bone on Sight of to remove and Convey the said William Hawkins< no role > his said Wife and the their said
Children from and out of your said [..] of St Mary le Bone to the said Parish of Stanmores and them deliver unto the
Church Wardens and Overseers of there unto some or one of them together with this our Order or a true Copy
hereof who are hereby required to [..] redue and Provide for them According to Law Given under Our Hand and Seals this
23d Day of May 1780

The Appellants gave Notice of the Appeal and have also Served the Order for
hearing the Appeal On Thursday the 29th. June on the Respondts.

Wm Hawkins< no role > the Pauper at 16 or 17 Years ago lived in the Parish of Little Stanmore
and rented a Small Cottage and his say'd that the Parish of Mary bone have removed
the Pauper this Family he hearing Sworn that he was rated to and paid the Land Tax
for the sd Cottage, and twenty pained a Settlement in the Parish of Little Stanmore
His every Char that he never was rated to the Land Tax Neither did he ever pay it
as is Evident by Mr Dormore the Collector Books who attends More with

It is likewise appears that up an Examination of the pauper taken before Wm Hallett< no role >
& John Rudge< no role > Esqr two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace 17th Febry 1777 when the Pray
lived in the Parish of Edgware [..] that his Place of Settlement was at the Winslow in the County of
Bucks and dill not preform [..] Swear that he had gained a Settlement Else Where

The [..] Pauper died Soon after [..] Removal There fore the Appellts Cannot produce him
pursuant to the Responds [..] for that purpose
