The Examination of John Wharton< no role > a Soldier of the 3rd: Battalion of the First Regiment of
Foot Guards. taken before one Jonathan Durden< no role > Esqr. one of his Majuestys Justices
of the Peace for the said County the 28th: day of October 1779

Who being on his oath saith that on the 27 day of this Instant between Nine and Ten at nech [..] John Wood< no role > William Walker< no role > and Thomas Foster< no role > Came
[..] at a publick known by the Name of the Nags head in Tothill Street Westminster
[..] nd him he if he would go with them for they New where some fewls. was and they
[..] et them Oasey. then he went with them to the House of one Ranaldo Monk
Park House in the Parish of St Mary le Bone in the County aforesaid. that John.
[..] ly a false they Opened the Door of the Work Shop of the said Ranaldo Monk< no role > some
[..] from his Dwelling House that William Walker< no role > entered into the said Work
[..] h and Stolen their in Six Cocks and Hens, Killed them and put them into a Sack
this Deponant further Saith that they took the said sack and from thence went
[..] the House of Edward Wayne in Lath Ormond Mouse in the parish of St. George
the Martyr in the County aforesaid where they Arrived about one o Clock in the Morning
on the 28th: that John Wood< no role > endeavored to pick the Lock of a Brick Building Adjourning
[..] the Dwelling House of the Said Edward Wayne kept for the asume of Keeping
Paultryand he finding he not being Alle to pick the Lock, he with the Assistant
of William Walker< no role > did feloniously and Burglariously Bread Down the Wall
[..] d enter the said Building and Dif [..] feloniously Steal take and Carry away
Nineteen Cocks and Hens the property of the said Edward Wayne< no role > and others while
Deponent and Thomas Foster< no role > stood to Watch [..] that nobody Came to interupt
