To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , in the County of Middlesex ,
and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint John Wapping in the
County of Middlesex

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us,
two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace , in and for
the County of Middlesex , (one whereof being of the Quorum)
by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , Middlesex , That
Samuel Young< no role > Mary< no role > his Wife , and their Four
Children lawful Issue Namely, Eleanor< no role > aged
Fifteen years, Elizabeth< no role > aged about Seven
Years, Ann< no role > aged about Five years, and
Sarah< no role > aged three years and upwards have
Come to in habit in the Parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch not having gained any legall
settlement there and are
become Chargeable to the same: We the said Justices
upon Examination of the Premises upon Oath, and other
Circumstances, do adjudge the same to be true, and do also
adjudge the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said
Samuel Young Mary his Wife and their
Four children is in the parish of Saint
John Wapping in the County of Middlesex
aforesaid

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name to require
you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , Middlesex , on
Sight hereof, to remove and convey the said Samuel
Young
< no role > , Mary his wife one their Four
Children
from and out of your said Parish of St. Leonard , unto the
said Parish of Saint John
and them [..]
of the Poor there, or to some or to one of them, together
with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are hereby
required to receive and provide for them according to
Law.

Given under our Hands and Seals this Seventeenth
Day of July1779
