To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , in the County of Middlesex ,
and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Michael Cornhill

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us,
two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace, in and for
the County of Middlesex , (one where of being [..]
said Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , Middlesex , That
Judith Petter< no role > Single woman and ur Two
Bastard Children Namely Catharine< no role > aged
Four years and upwards and William< no role > aged
Fourteen months and up wards have come
to in habit in the parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch not having gained any legal
settlement there and are
become Chargeable to the same: We the said Justices
upon Examination of the Premises upon Oath, and other
Circumstances. do adjudge the same to be true, and do also
adjudge the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said
Judith Petter< no role > Single woman is in the
parish of Saint Michael Corn hill
London aforesaid

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name to require
you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Said Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , Middlesex , on
Sight here of, to remove and convey the said Judith
Petter
< no role > Single woman and her Two
Bastard Children for [..] ture
from and out of your said Parish of St. Leonard, unto the
said Parish of Saint Michael.
and then deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or to one of them, together
with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are here by
required to receive and provide for them according to
Law.

Given under our Hands and Seals this Ninth
Day of July1779
