MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks-Hall, in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournment) on Thursday-the fourteenth
Day of January - in the nineteenth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King
of Great Britain, Etc. Before Sir John Hawkins< no role >
Knight the Reverend Sir George Booth< no role > Baronet
David Wilmot< no role > James Spagg< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our Said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers Felonies,
Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours committed in the
same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Idlestree
otherwise Elstree in the Liberty of Saint Albans and County of Hertford Did at the last
General Session of the peace held for this County Exhibit their Petition and Appeal setting
forth That by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the hands and Seals of two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum)
bearing date the eleventh day of November last past Richard Fensum< no role > with his wife Mary< no role >
and their three Children that is to say Sarah< no role > aged about eight years, John< no role > aged about five
Years and Mary< no role > aged two years and upwards were removed from the parish of Saint
Mary Islington in the said County of Middlesex to the said parish of Idlestry otherwise
Elstree as the place of their last legal settlement Whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves
aggrieved Which said Appeal stood duly adjourned unto this day Now upon hearing
the said Appeal and what hath been alledged by the respective Churchwardens and Overseers
of the poor of the said parishes their Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning the premises
It is ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby allowed and the said order or
Pass Warrant of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside and It is further
ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Idlestree
otherwise Elstree do forthwith convey and deliver back the said Richard Fensum
Mary his wife and their three Children (together with a copy of this order) unto the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Mary Islington or to
some or one of them who are hereby required to receive and provide for the said
Richard Fensum Mary his wife and their said three Children until they can free
themselves from the charge thereof by due course of Law
