in a Case of Bastardy.

and John Andrews< no role > of the same Parish Victualler severally make oath and first
the said Ann Denis for herself Voluntarily saith That she is now with Child And
that the said Child is likely to be born a Bastard and to be Chargeable to the said
Parish That John Green< no role > of the Parish of St Leonard Shoreditch in the said
County Carpenter is the Father of the said Child and that She the Deponent
expects to be delivered of Such Child in about the Space of two months front
this Present time; and the said Deponent John Andrews< no role > for himself Saith
that he at the instance and request of the said Deponent Ann Dennis< no role > and as one
of the Overseers of the Poor & Substantial Householder of the said Parish of Saint
Botolph without Aldgate did on the Third day of December instant apply to the
Worshipful Jasper Clarke< no role > Engine one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace
for the said County for his Warrant to apprehend the said John Green< no role > to answer
to the said Premises Oath having been first made there of before the said
Justice by the said Deponent Ann Dennis< no role > That in Consequence of Such
Application the said Justice granted his Warrant for apprehending the said
Defendant John Green< no role > who was taken thereon the Fourth day of December
instant and he the said John Green< no role > on the day next following (as he this
Deponent has been informed & believes) entred into a Recognizance with Certain
Sureties before the Worshipful David Wilmot< no role > Esquire one of his Majesties Justices
of the Peace for the said County for his personal Appearance at the then next
and now Present General Session of the Peace held for the said County to Answer
touching the Matter So Complained of against him the said John Green< no role > .
