MIDDLESEX .


At the General Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks-Hall , in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournment) on, Thursday the Eighth
Day of December in the FifteenthYear of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King of
Great Britain, Etc.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Parish of Witney in the
County of Oxford Have at this Present Session Exhibited their
Petition and Appeal setting forth That by a warrant or order under the
hands and Seals of William Gascoigne< no role > and John Barnfather< no role > Esqrs. two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex (one being of
the Quorum) bearing date the third day of November one thousand seven
hundred and seventy four John Coney< no role > a Lunatic was removed and
conveyed from the Parish of Saint Mary Le bone in the County of Middx
to the said Parish of Witney as the last Place of his legal settlement Whereby
the Petitioners apprehended themselves aggrieved Whereupon at the
request of the said Petitioners It is Ordered that the Benefit of
their said Appeal be saved unto them and that the Hearing and
determining thereof be and the same is hereby adjourned until the next
General Quarter Session of the Peace to be held for this County and that
on Notice hereof in the mean to be given to the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Mary le bone they and all
Persons concerned do attend the Court at Hicks Hall aforesaid on
Thursday the twelfth day of January next at the Hour of Eight in
the Forenoon of the same day to hear and abide the Judgment and
Determination of the said Court touching the said Appeal
