Middlesex


James Patterson< no role > of the parish of Saint Anns within
the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex
Turncock Maketh Oath and Saith that his Deponent
was bound before George wright< no role > Esquire one of his
Majestys Justices of the peace for the County of
Middlesex in a Recognizance of forty pounds to prosecute
Henry absolem< no role > at the last May Sessions at
Hicks's Hall for the said County of Middlesex for feloniously
Stealing a Shovel of the Value of Ten pence his property
and this Deponent Saith that the Defendant was taken
and Committer to the above Sessions and the Grand Jury
was discharged the next day or in a day or two And this Deponent further
Saith that he Mistook the time he was to Appear whereby
his Recognizance is become forfeited but that he did not
suffer such Recognizance to become forfeited by his
neglect by any Connivance with an Intant to serve or
favor the Defendant so that he might be Acquitted
And this Deponent also further Saith that he never
received any Sort of Gratuity of Satisfaction by way of
Compromise or otherwise and that he this Deponent
will as soon as possible after this present Sessions
Apprehend or Cause to be apprehend the said Henry
Absolem
< no role > and he this Deponent will Prosecute
him for the said Offence at the next December
