House meaning the Petitioner and the said Hannah taking hold first of a Knife and then
of the Poker and the said Christopher Joining his said wife in abusing the Petitioner and
the Petitioner fearing bodily hurt went that night to bed and the next Morning to the
Petitioners Father who lives in the Neighbour hood for protection against the fury of his
said Master and Mistress were he now remains and is not able to return and live with
his said Master and Mistress by reason of their unhappy Tempers and Dispositions and the
Intolerable Drunkness of the said Hannah Whereby the Petitioners life and service hath
been a burthen to him and thereby praying that in regard of the unwarrantable
Conduct of the said Christopher Shelton< no role > and his said wife towards the Petitioner and
for the several matters therein before settforth he may be discharged from the Service of
the said Christopher Shelton< no role > under the said Indentures of Apprenticeship and for such
further and other Relief in the Premisses as to thesd. Court should seem Just Whereupon
It was Ordered that the said Christopher Shelton< no role > Should have Notice of this Petition
and that he and all Persons concerned should Attend this Court here on his Present
Thursday to hear and abide the Judgment and determination of the said Court in the
Premisses (The hearing and final determination of the said Petition standing duly
Adjourned unto this Session) Now upon hearing of the said Petition in the presence
and fearing of the said Christopher Shelton< no role > and upon Examination into the premises
and after hearing what hath been Alledged as well by the said Christopher Shelton< no role >
as by the Petitioner Thomas Wilkinson< no role > and their respective Council and Witnesses
in and concerning the Premisses And for as much as the matters of Complaint in
the said Petition are Frivolous and groundless It is Ordered that the said Petition
by and the same is hereby Dismissed And it is further Ordered that the said
Thomas Wilkinson< no role > and Petitioner do forthwith return back to the said Christopher
Shelton
< no role > his Master and serve out the remainder of the said Term of Seven Years
according to the Tenor of the said Indenture of Apprenticeship.
