To the Worshipful his Majestys Justices of the Peace for
fot the County of Middlesex in their General Quarter Sessions of the
Peace assembled.

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Parish of Shenley in the County of Hertford

Sheweth


That by an Order under the Hands and Seals of J. Girdler and Stephen
Clarke
< no role > Esquires Two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the Twenty first
Day of February last past Ann Dancer< no role > Widow and her Four Children namely
Mary < no role > aged about Ten Years, Rebecca < no role > Aged about Six Years, John Thomas< no role >
Aged about Four Years, and Fanny < no role > Aged about Two years, were removed from
the Parish of Saint Mary Islington in the said County of Middlesex to the [..]
said Parish of Shenley in the said County of Hertford as the last legal
Settlement of the said Ann Dancer and of her said Four Children Mary
Rebecca John Thomas and Fanny, whereby your Petitioners conceive
themselves to be aggrieved and Against the said Order do Appeal

Your Petitioners therefore humbly Pray That a Short
Day may be appointed this present Session to hear
and determine the matter touching the said Appeal

And your Petitioner shall over Pray.

At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord
the King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall
in Saint John Street in the said County by Adjournment
on Tuesday the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third
King of Great Britain Etc.

It is Ordered that Notice of this Appeal be given to the
Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Mary Islington in this County and that they and all
Persons concerned do attend this Court on Thursday next
at nine of the Clock in the forenoon to hear and abide the
Judgment and Determination of the Court Touching the said
Appeal
