To the Overseers of the Poor of the Liberty of Saffron-Hill , Hat-
ton-Garden and Ely-Rents in the Parish of St. Andrew Hol-
born in the said County, and to the Churchwardens and Over-
seers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Paul Covent
Garden in the Same County

WHEREAS Complaint has been made by you the Overseers
of the Poor of the said Liberty of Saffron-Hill , Hatton-Garden ,
and Ely-Rents, unto us whose Hands and Seals are hereunto set, two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace (whereof one is of the Quorum)
for the said County of Middlesex , That Amelia Champion
and a male Bastard Child born of her body aged
Eighteen Months and upwards which hath been
Baptized by the name of Francis< no role >
lately intruded themselves into your said Liberty of Saffron-Hill ,
Hatton-Garden , and Ely-Rents, there to inhabit as Parishioners con-
trary to the Laws relating to the Settlement of the Poor, and are
there like to become Chargeable, if not timely prevented. AND
WHEREAS, upon due Examination and Enquiry made into the Pre-
mises, on Oath and other Circumstances it appears to us, and we ac-
cordingly adjudge, That the said Amelia Champion< no role > and
her said Bastard Child are

like to become Chargeable unto the said Liberty of Saffron-Hill , Hat-
ton-Garden, and Ely-Rents, and that the last legal Place of Settlement
of the said [..] Amelia Champion< no role >
is in the said Parish
of saint Paul Covent Garden
THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Overseers of the Poor of the Liberty of Saffron-Hill , Hatton-
Garden , and Ely-Rents aforesaid, that you or some of you, do forth-
with remove and covey the said Amelia Champion< no role > , and
with her her said Bastard Child for nurture
from your said Liberty of Saffron-Hill , Hatton-Garden , and Ely-Rents
to the said Parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden
and them deliver to the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor there, or some or one of them, together with
this our Warrant or Order, or a true Copy thereof; whereby they are
likewise required in his Majesty's Name, and by Virtue of the Sta-
tutes in such Case made, forthwith to receive the said Amelia
Champion
< no role > and her said Bastard Child
into their said Parish Care and provide for them
as their own Parishioner s, GIVEN under our Hands and Seals the
Twenty fourth Day of October in the Year of
our Lord, One thousand seven hundred and Sixty Seven
