Charles Lew< no role > of Mile End Town Weaver Saith he was at
Work in his Loom up Two Pair of Stairs in King Edward Street
last Tuesday when said Cart and Horses went along
That hearing some Women Scream he Locked out at Window
And at that time the Fore horse was direct under his Window
That the Driver was standing in the front of the Cart leaning over
itWhether he had any thing in his Hand or not
Informant cannot tellThat the Deceased was then
lying on the Ground near the middle Horse [..] about the Head of it
And before the Wheel went over it he Called out twice to the Driver
to Stop his Cart But he kept going on without looking up as
the he did not HearThat the near Weel of the Cart
went over the Child about the Head and Neck

That the Horses were upon a full Walk when Informant first [..]
themThat after the Thing was done Informant Came down
and run after the CartThat the Horses then appeared
to run and went a good deal Quicker than they did before
And when he Overtook the Cart it was got about forty Yards from
the Place where the thing happeaned and the Driver was then on the
GroundThat Informant Sized him by the Collar
and said You Villain why did not You stop Your Cart when
I Called to You "And he Answered "I did not here You"
That he Begd to go Home with his Carriage but Informant
charged [..] an Officer with him
That about Ten Minutes afterwards News was brot. that the
Child was Dead And then the Driver Cryed And said if I could
give my Life for the Childs I would freely give it
Says he hath heard the Name of the Driver but cannot Recollection
That Informant went with him before Justice Hodgson
