of Mary Dunderell< no role > for Felony & on the Several prosecutions of John Manning< no role >
Daniel Lucas< no role > Elizabeth Bartholomew< no role > Thomas Ping< no role > and Mary Teret< no role >

William Edwards< no role > one of the Defts above Named and John Duncan< no role > of Liquorpond Street
in the parish of Saint Andrew Holbourn in the County of Middlesex Broker Jointly and
Severally Make Oath and First this Deponent William Edwards< no role > for himself Saith that
William Vover< no role > of White Chapple in the County of Middlesex Statuary is a Material
Witness for this Deponent and the other Defendt. his Wife (Mistakenly called Mary
Dunderdell
< no role > to whom this Deponent hath been Married three Years) upon there
Several Tryals upon the above Indictmts. and without whose Testimony this Deponent
and his said Wife Cannot Safely proceed to the Tryals thereof and this Deponent Saith
that he is informed and verily belives the same to be true that the said William
Vover set out from his house in White Chapple some time in the Middle of August last
for partsmouth upon business [..] this Deponent Did therefore Employ the other Deponent
John Duncan< no role > to Endeavour to Serve a Sub pen a on him and this Diponent John Duncan< no role >
for himself saith he Did on Monday the Seventh of this Instant September (at the request
of the said Defendants) go to portsmouth with acorit of subpena directed to the said
William Vover for him to appear at Justice Hall in the Old Bayley on on Wednesday
the Ninth day of this Instant September at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon of the
same day to Testifye the Truth and give Evidence between our Sovereign Lord the King and the
Defendants William and Ann Edwards< no role > his Wife otherwise Mary Dunderdell< no role > And this Deponent
Saith that he did Make a Street Inquiry at Ports mouth after the said William Vover in
order to serve him with the said writ of Subpena And this Deponent Saith that he was
Informed by one Mrs. Burton the Mistress of the Talbot publick house in portsmouth (and
which Information this Deponent verily believes to be true) that the said William
Vover had been at her house in Ports mouth about Ten days age from thence he the
said William Vover Set out to the Isle of White and from thence he was to go to Northampton
and that the said William Vover was Expected to return to portsmouth or London in about
afortnights time and this Depenent William Edwards< no role > Saith that his said Wife now
lays Dangerously ill and in Danger of her life as he believes a in Newgate and Lastly he this
Deponent & William Edwards< no role > Saith that he will use his Utmost Endeavours
(to and doubts not his Success in producing the said William Vover to give Evidence
for this Deponent and his said Wife upon their Tryals of the above Indictments at
the next ensuing Sessions at this Place.
