and other their Companions, Justices of our said Lord the King,
Assigned to keep the peace of our said Lord the King, in and for the
County of Somerset
. and also to hear and determine divers Felonies,
Trespasses, and other Misdemeanors done or perpetrated in the
same County Etc.
This Court doth (in pursuance of the Statute in that case
made and Provided) direct the Prices for Carrying of Goods relating
to this County to be as follows (that is to say) for the Carriage
of every Gross Hundred Weight of Goods brought by any waggonor
or Carrier from the Citys of London
or Westminster
to the City of
Bath or Town of Froome in this County five Shillings And for
every Twenty Miles beyond Both or Froome aforesaid from
London or Westminster
aforesaid one Shilling more from
London or Westminster
aforesaid to the Town of Wincaunton
in this County Six Shillings and for every Twenty Miles
beyond Wincaunton aforesaid from London or Westminster
aforesaid one Shilling more from London or Westminster
aforesaid to the Town of Milnorn Port in this County five
Shillings and Six pence and for every Twenty Miles beyond
Milborn Port aforesaid from London or Westminster
aforesaid
one Shilling more and also in Proportion fro every Twenty
Miles in this County and so in Proportion throughout this
County for any Weight not under a Quarter of an Hundred
and so in like manner from any of the above mentioned places
to the Citys of London
or Westminster
From Bristol
to Chard
the Sum of Two Shillings and Six pence and for all other Goods
brought by Common Carriers from any other place whatsoever
to any place in this County at the Rate of one Shilling by the
Gross Hundred for every Twenty Miles and so in Proportion
for any Greater or Lesser Weight or for any Greater or less
distance
