The Information of Anne Cooper< no role > Chamber
Maid to Mr John Hayes< no role > of the White Horse Inn at Uxbridge in the
County of Middx. Inn holder taken upon Oath
this 20th Day January 1767 before me one of
his Majesties Justices of the Peace in & for the
said County.

This Informant being upon her Oath Saith that last Night between
Seven & Eight o' Clock she missed a White Callico Counter pan or Bed Quilt (being Callico on
both Sides) from & out of a large Bedchamber known in the family by
the Name of the Six. Whereupon She Came down to her Mistress Mrs. Sarah
Hayes
< no role > & Enquired of her Whether She knew what was become of it. Whose
Answer was She knew Nothing of it. Then the Waiter Isaac James< no role > & she
this Informant went in Search of the Said Quilt throughout the Rooms but
they Cou'd not find it. On their going into other Rooms they found the Heel
of a Womans Shoe which this Informant picked up & delivered to Isaac
James
< no role > who brought it down into the Kitchen. Then he the said Isaac went
to Several Houses & an Old Cloaths Shop in the Town to Endeavour to find out
to Whom this Heal belonged but he Could Not. But Mr William Moore< no role >
one of the Constables of Uxbridge being in posession of part of the Said Quilt She
this Informant upon Viewing the Same Well Knows it and upon her Oath
declares it to be the property of her Said Master Mr John Hayes< no role >
