Westminster to wit.


To the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. James,
within the Liberty of Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex : And to
the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the parish of St Martin
in the City of Worcester and to Each and
Every of them

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto us,
Two of his Majesty's Jutices of the Peace for the
City and Liberty of Westminster , aforesaid (One whereof
being of the Quorum ) by the churchwardens and Over
feers of the Poor of the said Parish of St.James , That
Elizth Briggs< no role > Widow of John Briggs< no role > and their three
Children (viz) Ann< no role > Aged twelve years and
Upwards William< no role > about Ten years and sarah< no role > aged
Upwards of Seven have
latey intruded and come into the said Parish of St. James,
and is become Chargeable to the same. We
the said Justices, upon Examination of the Premisses upon
Oath, and other Circumstances, do adjudge the same to be
true, and do also adjudge the Place of the last legal Settle
ment of the said Briggs and her said Children
to be in the parish of st Martin in the City of
Worcester

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to require
you on Sight hereof, to remove and convey the said
Elizth Briggs< no role > and her said three Children
from and out of your said Parish of St. James , to the said
parish of St Martin
and them deliver unto the Churchwardens and Over-
seers of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together
with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, Who are here-
by required to receive and provide for them according to
Law. Given under our Hands and Seals this 28th Day
of April1762
