Here hatch went into his House And Asked his Wife where Aston was And she answered him
that he would not go for that he had get his Furlow renewed by the Officers at the Bull upon which he
this Informant went and get his Horse and a brace of Pistols which were ready loaded with a braces of
Balls each and powder in order to guard the Mail from Maidenhead to Hournslow himself and Just as
he this Informant came from the post Office to his own House with his Horse in his Hand the
said Thomas Aston< no role > came in to this Informants House and Saluted his Wife and Wished her a good
Night upon which this Informant said Ton: where are you going And he Swore that he was going to
Hounslow and this Informant said he should not upon which a Dispute a rose between the said
Thomas Aston< no role > and this Informant about it and this Informant said that he would rather give
half Crown then he should go for that he had not acquaintedMr. Green the post
Master about it And then swore that he would go and take as much are as it he this Informant went
himself. Upon which this Informant Agreed that he should go And he Accordingly Mounted this
Informants Horse which was a Boy one with a Blaze down his Forehead and or great deal of White
about his Nose And he had on a Blue Great Coat And he this Informant let him have his brace
of pistols leaded as aforesaid And he Accordingly Mounted this Informants Horse which had a
Bridle and Halter on his Head And went off with the Mail in order to guard the same And
between Seven and Eight O Clock this Morning the said Thomas Aston< no role > returned to Maidenhead aforesaid
with this Informants Horse and told him that the Mail got safe to Hounslow but that the Horses
were tired and was obliged to have fresh ones on the Road And told this Informant that he had
left the Pistols [..] at Fields at Mile house And between nine and Ten O Clock this
Morning this Informant heard that a Bath flying Waggoner was robbed upon this Informants
Horse And this Informant then Suspected the said Thomas Aston< no role > to do it he went and Apprehend
him

And the [..] Informant John Bullock< no role > on his Oath saith that about two O Clock this Morning
he sat out with an Express from the Post office in the Town of Maidenhead aforesaid to carry to
Hounslow when he met a Man on Horseback near Cranford Bridge with a Blue great Coat on
with his Halt flaped down tied [..] over his Head with a Han kerchief Mounted on a Bay Horse
or Gelding with a White face between three and four O Clock this Morning as near as he can
believe And he believes that the said Horse or Gelding was and is the Property of the said
Joseph Clack< no role >

And the said William Field< no role > on his Oath saith that between Six and Seven O Clock this
Morning A Man came to this Informants House commonly called Mile House in the High road
leading from Maidenhead to Hounslow and in the Parish of Burnham aforesaid And had hanged his
Horse at the Door and came in with a Blue great Coat upon his Arm And the said Man was
dressed in Soldiers Cloathes And this Informant verily believes that he had a Silver laced
flat on and saw the Horse hanging at the Door which was a Bay Horse or Gelding with
a White face And that he then knew the same to be the property of the said Joseph Clack< no role > and
