After Our very hearty Commendations to Your Grace
Whereas His Majestys Service doth at this time require Speedy
supply of Seamen and Seafaring Men to Man Such of His
Majestys Ships as are now ready to be Commissioned
We do therefore Pray and require Your Grace to call upon
the Justices of the Peace with in the County of Middlesex
Whereof Your Grace is Custos Rotulorum, And strictly enjoy
and require them to cause all Straggling Seaman who
are fit to serve on board His Majestys Ships to be taken
up and sent by proper persons from place to place untill
they shall be brought to the Captains that shall be appoin-
ted to regeilate the business of impressing Men in and
about the City of London that so they may be put on
board such of His Majestys Ships or Vessels as shall
be appointed to receive them and that there be paid
to the persons who shall be intrusted with Conducting them
by the said Regulating Captains twenty shillings for each
Seamen fit for His Majestys Service and Six pence a tre [..]
for every Mile they respectively travel not exceeding twenty
MilesAnd so not doubting of Your Graces Zeal and
Vigour in the performance of this Service,We bid Your
Grace very heartily farewellfrom the Council Chamber
at St: James's the 22d. day of July 1761
