received a Note of hand for forty hands Lays that the
was on or about the 6th of Hust. last, says abt. a Month
after this he lent the said Compbell Twenty Guineas
more at the Blashmoores head in Termon Street , says
that the sd Campbell then game this Informt. a Note for
61 Pounds, and that this Informt. returned the sd Campbell
his Note of forty pounds, says that abt. the 13th. of this
Inst. he lent the sd. Compbell twelve Gumeis more of
Bridge Street Coffee House , when the sd Campbell gained
this Informt. a Note of hand for £94-10s Payable in
seven Months and this Informt. says that on his
expressing his an uneasiness at the Nature of the Security for so
large Sum. & desirny to hew a Note for a Shorter time or
the writings belonging to the House the sd. Compbell said he
wou'd bring the sd. Writings on the Tuesday following or gain
him a Note payable in Two Months, says that on the Tuesday
following the said Mr Compbell met this Informt. at the Sign
of the Mitre in Kings Street Westmr. from when they
went to the Sign of the red Lyon in the said Neighbourhood
when the sd. Mr. Compbell pretending to give this Informt. a
a Note of hand for £94-10s. payable in two Months according
to his promise wrote and delivered a Note of hand now produced
Dated the 16th of Decr. 1760 for seven pounds ten Shillings
payable in two Months, and at the same time took up the Notes
£74-10s. payable in seven Months which he had given
to this Informt. before, and Burnt it, and this Informt. say
that when he observed to the said Campbell that the Note
he had given him, was only for seven pound ten instead
of seventy four pounds ten, The said Campbell Used him
with Scavnlions lang [..] and that on this Informant's
endeavouring to present the said Campbell going away
