At the General Session of the Peace holden at Hicks Hall
in Saint John Street in and for the County aforesaid byAdjournment
on Fryday the Seventh day of December in the Thirty third Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second King of Great Britain
Etc Before Thomas Lane< no role > Francis Bedwell< no role > Bartholomew Hammond< no role >
and John Derbyshire Birkhead< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows
Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to keep the Peace in the
County aforesaid and also to hear and Determine divers Felonies
Trespasses and other Misdeeds Committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of East Greenwich in the County of Kent have
Exhibited their Petition and Appeal to this Court Setting forth
That by a Pass dated the Twenty Seventh day of October last under
the hand and Seal of William Timbrell< no role > one of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex Catherine Fowler< no role > wife
of Thomas Fowler< no role > a Soldier who has deserted with her three Children
Anne < no role > Aged about Seven Years Catherine< no role > Aged about five Years
and Mary < no role > Aged Six Months was conveyed from the Parish of
Saint George Hanover Square in the County of Middlesex aforesaid
to the said Parish of East Greenwich as the Place of her last
legal Settlement And whereas it appears by the Duplicate of the
said Pass and Examination of the said Catherine Fowler< no role > now returned
to this Court that she (together with her said Children) was
apprehended as a Rogue and Vagabond Lodging in an Out house in the said
Parish of Saint George Hanover Square New upon hearing of the said
Appeal and of what hath been Alledged on either side by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers their Council and Witnesses in and concerning the
Premisses It is Ordered that the said Pass Warrant be and the same is
hereby ratified and Confirmed and thereupon the Appeal aforesaid is
Dismissed Unless Sufficient Cause be Shown to the Court on Tuesday the
Fifteenth day of January next to the Contrary.
