Taken before me this 25th. day of Novr.
1760
Who being on Oath says that on or about the 20th. Instant
a Person came to this Informant's House Produced a paper
purporting to be an Order from Mr. Nelson an apothecary
for two pound of Bark and a Quarter of a pound of Saffron
in Value about Eighteen Shillings says that he this Informant
believing the said Order to he reel, censed the said Cortie'les to
he delivered to him, says that he has since heard & verily believes
that the said Order was nothing more then a false pretence
Used by the Person who brought is, to Depand this Informant
out of the aforesaid Goods, and says that he believeis a Person
now Persent who calls himself Peter Pennethorne< no role >
, to he the Person
who Defrauded him as aforesaid
