An Inquisicon Indented taken on Behalf of our Sovereign Lord the King at the parish of
Ealing in the County of Middlesex the third Day of July in the thirty fourth year of the
Reign of our sd Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Britain
France & Ireland King Defender of the Faith And in the year of our Lord 1760. before
George Grow One of the Coroners of our said Lord the King of the said County On View of
the Body of one Elizabeth Odell< no role > then & there lying dead by the Oath of Christopher Gardner< no role >

charged to enquire for our sd Lord the King when where how & by what manner the said
Elizabeth Odell< no role > came to her Death say upon their said Oath

That on or before the first
day of June above named in the year aforesaid at the parish & County aforesaid A certain
person or persons unknown and haveing the Fear of God before his her or their Eyes but
being moved & seduced by the Instigation of the Devil in & upon the Body of the above
named Elizabeth Odell< no role > wife of William Odell< no role > of the first Regiment of Guards in the p [..]
of God & our Sovereign Lord the King then & there being with Force & Arms to wit with both
his Her or All their Hands & Feet Feloniously & of their Malice aforethought did strike
bruize & wound the Head Body Arms Leggs & privityes of the said Elizabeth Odell< no role > And
also with some Ribbon or other string then & there being round the neck of the said Elizabeth
Odell
< no role > her the said Elizabeth Odell< no role > did feloniously wilfully & of their Malice aforethought
suffocate & strangle And her the said Elizabeth Odell< no role > so beaten bruized wounded & otherwise
ill treated & suffocated & strangled The said person or persons unknown into a certain Pond
in Hanger Lane in the parish & County aforesaid feloniously wilfully & of his her or their Malice
afore thought did cast & throw And so the said Jurors on their sd Oath do say that the said
Person or Persons unknown by the said beating bruizing wounding & Sherwit ill treating
Suffocating & strangling & casting & throwing the said Elizabeth Odell< no role > in Manner & Form aforesaid
Feloniously Wilfully & of their Malice aforethought Her the said Elizabeth Odell< no role > did Kill & Murder
against the peace of our said Lord the King his Crown & Dignity In Witness whereof as
well the said Coroner as the Jurors aforesaid to this Inquisicon have inter changeably set
their Hands & Seals the Day & year first above written
