Deponent found her in a bad State of health and much out of
order and Indisposed and Subject to Fainting fits on Account of her being
for advanced in her pregnancy as She this Deponent upon a Strict
Enquiry and a narrow Inspection found her to be about Seven
Months gone with Child and in a very weak and faint Condition which
She this Deponent as She is informed and believes attributes also in a
great measure to Some Trouble of mind or some Law Suit she is at present
unhappily Involved in The Effects of her present illness apparently
appearing by Various Circumstances to her this Deponent and which
She believes for the reasons aforesaid may be Attended with bad
Consequences and this Deponent further Saith that she this Deponent
hath followed and practised Successively the business of Midwifery
for upwards of Forty years with Success And possitively on her
Oath Saith that according to the best of her Judgment Still knowledge
Information and belief She the said Elizabeth French< no role > cannot at
present Safely proceed to take her Tryals on the above Indictments
without manifest danger and hazard of her life
