The Presentment of the Grand Jury Sworn at this
General Session of the Peace now holden at Hicks Hall in
St. John Street in for the County of Middx which began or
Monday the 11th day of September 1758 & Continued by
Several Adjornment to this 16th day of the same month
of September

To the Worshipfull his Majtys Justices of the
peace for the sd County of Middx in the same
General Sessions Assembled

Wee the Grand Jury Men whose Names are hereunto
sett have been to view the State & Condition of the Two
Goals or Presons called New Prison And the House of
Correction at Clerkenwell in the said County of Middx
And do present that the same Goals are very much
Out of Repair and wants to be repaired for the better Keeping
of the Prisoners there Comitted And we are of Opinion
the said Goals ought forth with to be Repaired at the Costs
& Charges of the Inhabitants of the Sd County of Middx
