The Humble Petition of Roger Wright< no role >

Sheweth

That by vertue of a Warrant under the hands &
Seals of Jacob Harvey< no role > Richard Chamberlayne< no role > Hamond
Crosse< no role > Wm. Withers< no role > Esqrs . His Majesties Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the
Quorum) Inhabiting in Finsbury Division where in
the Parish at Saint James Clerkenwell in the said
County doth lye bearing date the twentieth day of king instant April Did Nominate & appoint Your
Petitioner as a Substantial House holder in the sd
Parish to be one of the Overseers of the Poor there for
one year th

That the Petitioner is not a House holder within
the said Parish and Submits to this Honourable
Court That he is not liable to Serve the Office of
one of the Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish

The Petitioner thinks himself aggreived
by the Nomination & Appointment aforesaid
and therefore humbly Appeals to this Court
against the Same and Prays your Worships
to discharge him from the sd Office

And the Petitioner will ever Pray Etc
