maketh Oath and saith that the above named<lb></lb>

having about the Beginning of March last drawn up in his<lb></lb>
own hand writing and duely Read over and signed in the presence of this Depont. and<lb></lb>
others the Annexed Confession & Discovery by way of Information of a Conspiracy carryed<lb></lb>
On about September last by several persons therein named against Defendt. and the methods<lb></lb>
they had taken & practiced to draw in & Suborn him the said Swetman as he affirmed<lb></lb>
falsely & unjustly to charge the Defendt. with the Forgery & Felony in this Cause<lb></lb>
abovementioned and the motives thereof which said Confession & Information that Depont. put<lb></lb>
private mark to for his own Satisfaction; The said Swetsman desired to go before the Right Honble<lb></lb>
the Lord Mayor to Swear the same and that this Depont, would go with him for that purpose<lb></lb>
To be present & Testify the same &the Rectifieds of his Intention therein And this Depent. saith<lb></lb>
that he then went accordingly with said Swetman to <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50429_geo124">the mansion House</rs>

when he having inquired<lb></lb>
if his Lordship was at home was answered in the affirmative, and the said Swetman having then<lb></lb>
delivered his the said Information or confession to a person who attended there & appeared to be in<lb></lb>
the capasity of one of his Lordships Clerks or Demosticks and the said Swetman informed the<lb></lb>
said person whose name this Depont. knows not that he was come to swear the sd. Information<lb></lb>
Or confession before his Lordship and desired to be Sworn accordingly whereupon the person who<lb></lb>
to attended took the said Swetmans said Information from him carryed it into a Room<lb></lb>
where this Deponent Beleives his Lordship then was desiring the sd. Swetman to wait till he<lb></lb>
informed his Lordship of the said Business And Dept. further saith that in about a quarter of<lb></lb>
an Hour after a same longer time the sd. per returned with the sd. information or writing<lb></lb>
and delivered it Back to the said Swetman saying his Lodship had Road it over But would<lb></lb>
not Swear him, or to that Effort at all which this Deponent was present as also when the sd.<lb></lb>
Swetman did declare in the most solomn manner, (as he was desirous to swear in his sd.<lb></lb>
information) that his making such information was freely &Voluntarily without any<lb></lb>
Reward or promise or proposal of any Reward or gratuity whatsoever & meerly for the sake<lb></lb>
of Justice & the Discovery of Freeth and this Deponent Saith that no Reward or promise of<lb></lb>
Any Reward Recompense or Gratification whatsoever given or made by this Depondent<lb></lb>
or any other person or persons whatsoever to this Depont. Knowledge or Beleif to the<lb></lb>
said Swetsman for the same But on the Contrary it appeared Strongly & plainly & this<lb></lb>
Depont. Veryly Beleives that the said Swetman drew up & Signed the sd. information<lb></lb>
or confession from a conviction of the injustice & wrong he had done to the Deft. by falsely<lb></lb>
Charging him with the sd. forgery & Felony, and a Resolution to make him all the<lb></lb>
Preparation in his power</p>
